Iain Campbell

A respected part of the rallying community from World Championship to domestic competition, with knowledge of clerking events to the highest level as well as managing the promotion of national championships.

The knowledge gained from event preparation has led to Iain assisting the local Kenyan organisers in successfully running their WRC candidate event in 2019 for a place on the World Rally Championship calendar. In addition, Iain has assisted the team in Ypres, Belgium with their World Championship debut in November 2020.

Iain has worked as chair of the panel of Stewards on the World Rally Championship and has also penned the FIA Rally Safety Guidelines for 2019 and the subsequent revisions and updates.

Having led the team that promoted the British Rally Championship he has seen the media value of the British Rally Championship soar to over £2 million. The social media of the championship reach has increased year on year since starting the promotion of this series in 2016.

In addition, he oversaw the introduction of the first UK Rally title for e-sports with the production and delivery of the eBRC DiRT 2.0 Rally competition that had a media value of £250,000 and a media reach of 6.7 million from May – July 2020.

Closer to home; the Mull Rally grew from a strong clubman rally to a motorsport week each October whilst under Iain’s direction from 2012 – 2015. He also led the team that created and delivered the RACMSA Rally of Scotland to huge acclaim from Visit Scotland, local authorities and European media. Taking the event from a blank sheet of paper to eight hours of live TV across Europe, whilst on the same calendar as the likes of the Monte Carlo Rally, in just 13 short months.
